This is a very beautifully crafted product. You can tell the craftspeople really put their heart into it. As soon as my sister saw it she asks me to find her a sketchbook like it.
I'm really excited to write down my stories in this. I needed something that looked adequately magical to get the feeling that this belonged to a D&D universe, and I liked it so much I decided to practice a new calligraphy font before committing my stories to it.
As far as quality, I'm pretty certain it will hold up to the test of time. The stones are buttoned on with rivets, not glued. The paper is thick enough that my fountain pen doesn't bleed through unless I completely soak the spot. After testing the thickness and quality of the paper it took about 10 back and forth swipes on wet ink to start to bleed, so writing in a bold font on both sides should be no problem.
I'm really impressed, I'll likely buy the other version of this journal after I fill this one.
I was in search of a leather-bound journal-style book for a Masonic degree production where I needed to read a script. The high-quality leather and deckled pages add to its perfection, allowing me to paste the script while having extra pages for notes. This journal is an absolute steal for the price!
This journal is a daily companion, as I find myself writing in it almost every day. The thick paper allows me to use my beloved fountain pens without any ink bleed-through. Its beauty and quality make it a truly lovely journal.
I was a bit worried about the stones being in the correct order. Yes the stones were in the correct order! I was super happy!
