The true worth of a race must be measured by the character of its womanhood - Mary McLeod Bethune
What Does It Mean to Be a Woman?
Personally, I feel one of the most beautiful things about being a woman is to have attributes, such as love, care, endurance, faithfulness, patience, tolerance, understanding, benevolence, and devotion. To be a woman means embodying the great feminine essence – being a creator of life.
Unfortunately, with various different interpretations of womanhood, society tends to categorize women; she is traditional, modern, feminist, liberal, conservative, etc. The list goes on and on.
I am a woman; I am proud to be a woman; I enjoy the everyday process of evolution. I love to challenge the naysayers who love to put me in a box and think little of my potential.
My experience and journey of creating Rustic town Collection made me strong; that level of responsibility and strength that I never thought I had it in me. Sure, I may have been afraid at times but I strongly feel what kept me going was the indefatigable spirit inside me that all women possess. We are blessed with a steely resolve to get things going whatever be the case.
That's why the new range of designer Women's Leather Handbags launched by Rustic Town has been my tribute to the spirit of modern women. Stylish, effervescent, and strong, the soft leather crossbody bag completely mirror a woman's personality.
Let's take a look at how women have evolved in various spheres over a period of time:
Identity:
In most developing countries, women still need to prove their sense of identity in the male-dominated society. You're still asked to perform your best in every dimension of your life. To be a woman in today's world means you're expected to perform, else you're written off too soon.
The 'conscientious' duties asked of a woman (balance workforce and home, maintain dignity and being servile) still suppresses a woman of her truest potential.
However, times are changing, and women are coming of age. There's hope.
Career:
This is where a surge has been observed. A huge number of women have shifted roles from being housewives and mothers to being dynamic forces in the workplace. A large number of employers is preferring women as employees due to their focused level of professionalism and commitment.
Women are taking a plunge in diverse fields nowadays more than ever. They possess the core skills and competencies to enter any domain and successfully own it. You see a lot of women entering fields that were hitherto relegated to only men, such as construction, engineering, sports, politics, entrepreneurship, web platforms, etc. The ladies are definitely breaking the glass ceiling in every field.
The endless debate whether times are good or bad for women will never cease to exist. Whatever is the truth, no one denies that it's one of the most interesting yet challenging times to be a woman in today's world. Combining style with substance, today's woman dares to dream big and take steps to achieve it.
As a woman, it's the best time for me to aspire to my personal and professional growth. Thankfully, the men in my life (my husband and my father) are always there to cheer me up for every challenge that I take up.
Thus, to sum it up, as Robert Frost said, there are still miles to go before we sleep. However, today's woman has risen up the occasion and accepted the challenge to define her identity. She is ready to prove it to the world that there's a lot more than what meets the eye. And that's a great step towards the positive change.
So ladies, rise and shine in the beautiful glory of your womanhood; challenge the norms and breakaway. It's time to celebrate being YOU!
And what better way to embolden yourself than by Rustic Town Collection leather products, such as Women's Bags, etc. that help you foster confidence in your endeavors.
For all the ladies, Carpe Diem! (Seize The Day)
Cheers!
Love,
XOXO
